A Greek Pigeon Keeper
Hello pigeon keepers. My name is Stathis Polimeris, I was
born in 1952
and I keep a
real estate agency in the town of Veria (which is in Greece and
75km west of Thessaloniki).
I' ve been going in for
with pigeons (Greek Pigeons) since I was a child. I like all kinds of pigeons
when they are pureblood and they can adjust themselves to the
tastes and to the demands of the pigeon keeper.
In Veria at 1990 I had the
idea to organize a pigeon competition in Veria. I found other
pigeon keepers who agreed to it and since then, every year from
the end of January until the beginning of February we organize
this competition which people, who take up "flying"
pigeons as a hobby, from all over Greece come to watch.
